Welcome to this online knowledge development session. Completion of this online module does not certify you as chamber attendant and operator. You must attended a series of lectures, and complete the practical skills sessions with a DAN Instructor.
Only a DAN Instructor can certify you having completed the course.

The final quiz at the end of this online part of the program requires a minimum pass mark of 80%. You are allowed 3 attempts to pass. Should you still be unsuccessful, please contact your course facilitator to discuss your issues.
This module is intended as an introduction to recompression facilities, essential theory behind diving injuries, and what the duties and responsibilities of the attending staff are.
Some of the content in this elearning module will also be addressed during the virtual lectures. However, there is additional material that will be added during the in-person practical training component.
This module is designed to allow you time to absorb the principles of recompression for injured divers. There are sections on basic physics relating to hyperbaric chambers, fire safety, chamber operations, gas contamination, cleaning and disinfection, together with some basic pathophysiology that presents in a dive injury.
